New Chris Pine Film to Debut in December

The man who portrayed Star Trek’s Captain Kirk in three films to date, Chris Pine, will appear in a new film debuting this December.
On the Star Trek front, Pine is also tentatively scheduled to headline the next Trek movie in 2023.
For now, Pine fans can find him in a different genre — action.
Pine will star as James Harper in the new film Violence of Action. If that isn’t an apropos title for an action movie, we don’t know what is.
Oddly, there is no formal trailer, but this offers a pictorial of the cast members:
According to The Wrap, the plot of Violence of Action goes like this:
“After being involuntarily discharged from the Marines, James Reed (Pine) joins a paramilitary organization in order to support his family in the only way he knows how. Reed travels to Poland with his elite team on a black ops mission to investigate a mysterious threat. Barely into his first assignment, Reed finds himself alone and hunted in Eastern Europe, where he must fight to stay alive long enough to get home and uncover the true motives of those who betrayed him.”

The film is directed by Tarik Saleh, who is known for the direction of television episodes like Ray Donovan and Westworld as well as films like Metropia and The Nile Hilton Incident.
Pine’s co-stars include Gillian Jacobs, Kiefer Sutherland, Ben Foster, and Eddie Marsan.
Violence of Action was filmed in Romania in 2019.
