Fancy That. ‘Star Trek: Prodigy’ Will Have 20 Episodes in Season 1.
By now, if you’re an obsessed Star Trek fan — you probably are just that if you’re on this website — Star Trek: Prodigy is on your radar, perhaps propelling you to watch the first two episodes (three, if you count the two-episode Pilot).
The conventional theory suggested Season One would entail about 10 episodes, a reasonable maiden voyage for a new series, especially one designed for kids and young adults.
And that’s a good thing. Prodigy will actually offer 20 episodes out of the gate in Season One — with an additional second season already confirmed.
The show is receiving decent reviews, commended for its application to youngsters for arguably the first time in the franchise’s history.
If you missed out on the beginning of the new series, Paramount+ is streaming the pilot free of charge on YouTube here:
New episodes hit Paramount+ on Thursdays. So, you’ll have 17 or so more Thursdays of Star Trek upcoming.
